Hello there and welcome to my webpage, my name is Kayla and I am the owner of Little Paws Rattery. Allow me to tell you a little bit about me and my operation!
I am 33 years of age, and have owned rats since I was 9 years old. Admittedly I did not start off the right way. My rats lived in inappropriate enclosures, on toxic bedding, eating poor quality food. But from the moment I fell in love with these enduring little creatures my thirst for knowledge grew. It wasn't long before I found myself reading every bit of literature I could get my hands on, and here I am today! Little Paws Rattery is registered through AFRMA (American Fancy Rat and Mouse Association). I feed Kalmbach blocks as well as a wide range of vegetables, occasional fruit, occasional cooked unseasoned meats/eggs, and a verity of different treats. I primarily use Midwest Critter Nation Double Units I've purchased bass equipment metal replacement pans to allow for the depth of regular bedding and I use American's choice mini flake which is a Kiln dried pine. I vet in Des Monies Iowa with the wonderful Dr Lisa Takes of Starch Animal Hospital and University West Pet Clinic, I highly recommend her to anyone in the area! I am available to answer questions and offer assistance even to individuals who decide not to adopt with me, so don't be afraid to contact me with any comments, questions, or concerns you may have. |
